About PlanetPalooza
Every Journey Is an Opportunity to Learn, Grow & Connect
PlanetPalooza brings together my curiosity as a journalist and my love of discovering the world. Through personal stories, researched articles, and videos, I explore the people, history, and everyday details that make places interesting.
About Me
I’m Lynda J. Moore, a retired ABC News Radio correspondent and the creator of PlanetPalooza. In 2013, I left the United States and made my home in Cuenca, Ecuador, where I lived for more than twelve years. I now live in Trieste, Italy, exploring my Italian roots and pursuing citizenship.
My work in journalism taught me to ask questions, listen closely, and look beyond the obvious. I bring that same curiosity to PlanetPalooza, whether I’m exploring the engineering of Petra, researching cultural traditions, or discovering something unexpected in my own neighborhood.
Some articles and videos draw on my travels; others explore subjects through research. Together, they offer a way to learn about the world, whether you’re planning a trip or exploring from home.
Why I Share My Travels
Stories, discoveries and tips for curious travelers
I created PlanetPalooza to share discoveries that deserve a closer look: remarkable places, interesting people, local customs, and the history behind what we see. I also share practical travel ideas, including ways to enjoy memorable experiences at an economical price.
What I Hope to Share
Curiosity, connection and discovery
I believe that exploring the world broadens our horizons, deepens our understanding of different cultures, and helps us see familiar things from new perspectives.
Through PlanetPalooza, I aim to make discovering the world accessible and enjoyable for curious travelers.
My hopes for PlanetPalooza:
- To bring destinations, history, and culture to life through engaging stories.
- To highlight local customs and encourage thoughtful, responsible travel.
- To offer practical travel tips and budget-friendly ideas for exploring new places.
- To make learning about the world enjoyable through blog articles and YouTube videos.
I hope my articles and videos inspire you to explore beyond the familiar, discover new perspectives, and keep your curiosity about the world alive.
